Intra Company Material Transfer with SIT Process Flow in SAP

Intra Company Material Transfer with SIT Process in SAP

Picture Description

This flowchart illustrates three different scenarios for transferring materials between different plants within the same company code using Stock in Transit (SIT). Each scenario begins with common steps, followed by specific steps involving various movement types.

Common Initial Steps

  1. Create Purchase Order 📝: A Purchase Order (PO) is created at Plant 2000 to initiate the material transfer from Plant 1000.
  2. Create Outbound Delivery 🚚: An outbound delivery is created at Plant 1000 for the goods being transferred to Plant 2000.

Scenario 1: Basic Stock Transfer

  • Perform Goods Issue 🚛 (Movement Type 68A): The stock is issued from Plant 1000 and moved to the In-Transit Stock. This step records the transfer of stock from the issuing plant (Plant 1000) to In-Transit.
  • Perform Goods Receipt 🏗️ (Movement Type 68I): Upon arrival at Plant 2000, a goods receipt is posted using movement type 68I, moving the stock from In-Transit to the receiving plant’s inventory.

Scenario 2: Stock Transfer with Proof of Delivery (POD)

  • Perform Goods Issue 🚛 (Movement Type 68A): The stock is issued from Plant 1000 and recorded as In-Transit Stock.
  • Perform Proof of Delivery (POD) 📝 (Movement Type 68E): After the goods are in transit, a POD is conducted, which records the stock as “In-Transit Stock” both at Plant 1000 and Plant 2000.
  • Perform Goods Receipt 🏗️ (Movement Type 109): Instead of directly posting to unrestricted stock, the goods are received into blocked stock at Plant 2000 using movement type 109.

Scenario 3: Stock Transfer with Blocked Stock Receipt

  • Perform Goods Issue 🚛 (Movement Type 68A): Similar to the other scenarios, the stock is issued from Plant 1000 and moved to In-Transit Stock.
  • Perform Goods Receipt with Blocked Stock 🏗️ (Movement Type 109): Instead of directly posting to unrestricted stock, the goods are received into blocked stock at Plant 2000 using movement type 109.

Movement Type Definitions:

  • 68A: Stock Transfer to Issuing Valuated Intra-Company-Code Stock in Transit.
  • 68C: Stock Transfer to Receiving Valuated IST (Intra-Company-Code Stock in Transit).
  • 68E: Stock Transfer from Issuing Valuated IST to Receiving Valuated Stock In Transit.
  • 68I: Stock Transfer from Issuing Valuated IST to Receiving Plant.
  • 109: Goods Receipt from Valuated Goods Receipt Blocked Stock.

This structured process ensures accurate tracking and management of stock as it moves between plants within the same company code, offering flexibility in handling different types of stock transfers based on specific business needs.
